The Indigenous Peoples Alliance of the Archipelago holds its congress once every five years. Communities across Indonesia join in North Sumatra on the site of an old palm oil plantation – where the community have taken back the land. Also present are all like-minded friends, who have been fighting to secure for recognition, protection and enjoyment of the rights of indigenous people.
