Jeffry Torres Cortes

Jeffry Torres Cortes is an indigenous Cabecar youth from Talamanca, Costa Rica. He works in a solar energy program which brings access to renewable energy to indigenous families who live in the most dangerous and difficult places in the country.

“For me it is a duty to put my knowledge at the service of my people so that, in harmony with our ancestral indigenous worldview, they can have a better quality of life without losing our traditions.”
